ASKED WHEEL QUESTIONS
What
is a reproduction wheel?
A reproduction wheel is an exact copy of a GM factory wheel. The wheel
is identical in appearance and meets or exceeds all the strength and tolerance
specifications of the GM factory wheel.
What
wheel will fit on my 1984-87 Corvette?
The two options we offer for the 1984-87 Corvette are the chrome 16-inch
factory wheel or the 17-inch ZR1 reproduction wheel. The reproduction
ZR1 wheel is a direct bolt on fitment for all 1984-87 Corvettes. This
wheel can be used all four corners of the car or as the front wheels in
conjuncture with the 11-inch ZR1 wheels in the rear.
How
does the chrome wheel exchange program work?
The chrome wheel exchange program works this way, we will ship the chrome
wheels to you first. The next step is to have the chrome wheels installed
and then return your good condition original wheels back to us. The wheels
you exchange must be the exact same style. We include the boxes and all
the shipping labels as well.
What
constitutes a good condition wheel?
A wheel is considered in good condition if is able to be chrome plated
without any repair or refinishing work being required. This means that
the wheel is in true round form and does not have any excessive metal
damage.
What
if I want a different style wheel other than the one I now have?
In this case you can buy a wheel on an outright basis. There are several
different options to choose from; these options range from GM factory
wheels, aftermarket or custom made wheels. See HRE, Hickock or Fikse styles
on the website.
