We always appreciate a good story pertaining to one of our cars. We always try to find out as much as we can about our inventory. But more often than not, these old classics can have a spotty history. So, we’re always delighted to get in a car that has ownership history back to new. And in the case of this very sharp ’64, we have just that! Because it’s only had two owner’s . . . a father and a son.
The father purchased the car brand new back in August of ’64 from reknown Corvette dealer Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles. This was his fun, weekend toy and he enjoyed driving the ’64 for many years. When he passed away, the car went to his son, who enjoed it the same way his father did! Back in ’02 it was determined that the car deserved a bit of sprucing up. So a complete, nut and bolt, frame-off restoration was started and completed approximately 4 years later. The results were stunning! And even over a decade later, the car still looks fresh!
