Blade Silver w/Ebony interior, 6.2L 638hp Supercharged V8, 6-spd. manual transmission.
The third incarnation of the legendary ZR-1 was a real “Tour De Force” for Corvette! Introduced in the ’09 model year, this awesome beast was powered by a 6.2L dry-sump Supercharged V8 pumping out 638hp! It was the most powerful Corvette built, up to that point! Backing up the engine was a strengthened 6-spd. manual transmission utilizing a twin-disc clutch. The aluminum chassis was derived from the ZO6, but had Selective Magnetic Ride Control specifically tuned for the ZR-1. The special carbon fiber hood had a clear, polycarbonate window in the center to showcase the engine’s beautiful, blue anodized intercooler. The front fenders, floor panels, and roof were also carbon-fiber. Stopping power was provided by huge Brembo brakes featuring vented and drilled carbon-fiber-reinforced ceramic silicon carbide rotors with 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston in the rear. Tires were the very sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 2’s in 285/30ZR19’s in front and massive 335/25ZR20’s out back. This was a Corvette to end all Corvettes! And it’s still one of the finest sports cars ever built, period!
We don’t often get ZR-1’s. So, it’s always a treat when we do! This one came from a local owner right here in O.C. It’s a loaded example with 3ZR Premium Equipment Group, chrome aluminum wheels and Lloyd mats front and rear. It’s traveled only 10k miles since new and is in pristine condition throughout! Blade Silver was the 2nd rarest color in ’11 (1 of only 48 built). And it glows in the sunlight! Comes with books, manuals, spare key fob and service records.
Please note: The front carbon-fiber splitter was removed to protect it from damage. It can be re-installed at the buyer’s request.
