Corvette Racing roared to a milestone win in the 2025 European Le Mans Series, claiming its first victory of the season at the legendary Imola Circuit in Italy!
Piloting the No. 82 Corvette Z06 GT3.R, the TF Sport team—Charlie Eastwood, Rui Andrade, and Hiroshi Koizumi—delivered a commanding performance in a challenging, rain-soaked four-hour sprint. The Corvette crossed the line with a dominant 7.4-second margin, leading 63 laps in total.
Koizumi kicked off the charge with a heroic drive from the back of the pack to P2. Andrade kept the pressure on up front, and Eastwood sealed the win with a flawless final stint.
“This is a landmark victory for the Corvette Z06 GT3.R and TF Sport,” said Jessica Dane, Corvette Racing Program Manager. “The drivers and team delivered under pressure and changing weather. Congratulations to all on a well-earned win.”
A red flag from heavy
According to GMAuthority.com, the 2026 Corvette Stingray is bringing big updates from fresh paint colors to a redesigned interior, and even the debut of the powerhouse ZR1X hybrid. But not all changes are additions.
Two wheel options are being dropped for 2026, including the popular Carbon Flash painted Q8Q wheels, with no replacement planned. The old base wheels are replaced by five-split-spoke Pearl Nickel forged aluminum wheels. That means the Stingray’s wheel choices drop from ten to nine.
If you’re a fan of the outgoing styles, now’s the time to grab a 2025 while they’re still available.
