1963 Silver Blue Split Window Corvette Coupe frame off restoration and numbers matching.
This 1963 Silver Blue Split Window Corvette Coupe was purchased new at Earl Hayes Chevrolet in Dallas Texas by a captain in the us air force / pilot. After retiring, the original owner was active with the local corvette club, enjoyed car shows and just driving his baby. Unfortunately, he passed due to ill health and his corvette was put into storage for four years. The car was finally sold by the family in an estate sale in 2010.
The buyer of this 1963 Silver Blue Split Window Corvette coupe is a professional corvette restorer who I knew as a member of the NCRS organization. The second owner contacted the restorer and purchased the car in the beginning stages of the restoration and was active in the complete restoration process. The restoration was completed in 2013.
This is a numbers matching complete drive train. The engine components are all numbers matching and dated (rebuilt as required). The motor is a 100% corvette professional rebuild with all new components.
The restoration was a complete frame off; every part has been replaced new or rebuilt as necessary. All new suspension, exhaust system, brakes, tires / aluminum knock-off wheels, glass, and re-chromed bumpers.
Interior dash and door panels original (excellent condition), all instruments operable, new carpets front and rear.
Paint is base coat/ clear coat and one the finest corvette professional paint jobs available. (original paint code shows Daytona blue).
