Nassau Blue w/Blue interior, 327/365hp, 4-spd manual transmission.
By 1965, Corvette was firmly in the world-class sports car category. This was the year 4-wheel disc brakes became standard equipment. A legend was born with the introduction of the first big block (in this case, the 396ci/425hp L78), as another legend (the Fuelie) was retired. There were plenty of other engines to choose from, as well. Starting with the base 327 with 250hp to the mighty L76 327 with solid lifters and 365hp! ’65 was definitely the year for choice!
Here at Corvette Mike we don’t like to let the good ones get away for long. This is a small community of Corvettes with seemingly less every year. So when we sell a car to a client, we try to stay in touch and keep track of it. In the case of this Nassau Blue L76, it stayed in the neighborhood! Sold over 20 years ago to a local client. He took it to us for service over the years, so we always kind knew where it was. Then when it came time for its next caretaker, we were contacted and quickly jumped at the chance to own it once more! It’s an older frame off restoration that still looks beautiful with a slight patina that only adds to the sporting character of the car. It’s nicely equipped with the L76 327/365HP small block, M20 4-spd transmission, power windows, side exhaust, both tops and knock off wheels with radial tires. This is the Corvette that you’ll look forward to driving at every opportunity. Just like its previous owner did! After all, that what there for! Stk #5966
