The ’66 Corvette marked a milestone of a sort as the MKIV big block engine that was introduced the previous year grew from 396ci to 427ci. As thus, a legend was born . . .
You got two choices of big block power in ’66. The previously offered solid lifter beast continued with 425hp. But, there was another configuration on tap; the L36 427/390hp version offered a bit milder hydraulic lifters. It still had stump pulling torque, but it was a bit more user-friendly for daily use. And you were able to get one big option not available on the L72 427; Air Conditioning!
Looking for the ultimate cruiser mid-year? Well, you might have just found it! This stunning, multiple N.C.R.S. Top Flight Award winning ’66 has benefitted from an extensive, nut and bolt frame-off restoration. But it doesn’t end there! It’s loaded! As in options. Like the aforementioned factory a/c. Plus power disc brakes, power steering, power windows, headrest seats, am/fm radio, Teak/Telescoping steering column, knock off wheels and more! This is a powerful Corvette that you can drive in comfort. And you’ll want to! Stk #5940
