2025 ZR1 Teaser Video

The next chapter of the C8 Corvette, the highly anticipated ZR1, is set to be unveiled this summer, promising to be the most powerful Corvette ever. Chevrolet recently released a teaser of the car shrouded in smoke, and now, another teaser reveals a glimpse of the rear, accompanied by the thrilling sounds of its engine. Stay tuned for more updates as the unveiling approaches.

The teaser video reveals a centralized exhaust similar to the Z06, along with a larger, more aggressive rear wing. The ZR1 is rumored to feature the LT7 engine, a turbocharged version of the 5.5-liter V8 LT6 from the Z06, expected to deliver 800 horsepower. Notably, the Stingray and E-Ray remain the only C8 Corvettes with exhaust tips on the outer edges of the rear bumper, making it easy to distinguish trim levels without relying on badging.

Unfortunately, the exact reveal date remains unknown, with Chevrolet only stating that the ZR1 will debut “this summer.” As the reveal approaches, we anticipate more frequent teasers providing additional glimpses of this epic track-focused car, poised to elevate the Corvette’s performance and turn heads.

I have now owned 2 beautiful Corvette convertibles in the last 2 1/2 years. I never thought that would happen, but it has. I fell in love with this beautiful 2017 Sterling Blue over Kalahari with matching interior at first sight when I saw it in the Thundering Thursday newsletter. I went to Corvette Mike’s the next day to claim my car. I told them, ‘thats my car’. I test drove it and had my picture taken with it and even bought clothes to match it. It was a brand-new car, with less than 2K miles on the odometer. I learned that the Sterling Blue color was only offered in that year and that it was a one-off. No other car was made like this one, and there is a letter from the Corvette Museum (who keeps track of this kind of thing) stating that fact. It was a special order. The more I learned about this car, the more I loved it. I showed my friends pictures of it and told them that was my new car.

Mike called me and said, ‘I understand I’m going to have to beg you to buy this car’. He made me an offer I couldn’t refuse then and there and the next day we closed the deal. Two days later the car was delivered to my house and a photo shoot ensued with my beautiful 2023 Riverside Garden Tour gardens as backdrop.

Today is my 81st birthday so it and Thundering Thursday are my birthday presents. It’s never too late to drive a Vette.

1962 Resto Mod

Amazing Build With Street Shop Chassis

Torch Red w/Linen Interior, Black Soft Top, 376/430hp LS3, 4-Speed Automatic

This stunning ’62 Resto-mod has undergone a no expense spared, frame off-restoration and features an LS engine backed by and automatic transmission, custom leather interior, wheels, frame, and more! Starting with the exterior, Corvette Torch Red was expertly applied and looks two feet deep! The leather interior is courtesy of Al Knoch. It looks fantastic and complements the red exterior perfectly.  The body is sitting on a Street Shop Chassis with brakes courtesy of Wilwood. GM wiring harnesses, computers, and brake lines are also utilized. Wheels are by Shop. The LS3 Engine has been dyno tested to 415hp at the rear wheels.

All the work was done by J & M Corvette Restorations and there is extensive photo documentation of the build. Fresh restoration, completed in 9/23.

1967 Corvette Convertible, two tops, 427-390 hp, powerglide, numbers match, Three owner car with 51,000 actual miles. Marina Blue paint with Black stinger, Bright Blue interior, and White soft top.

Original NO HIT body on super West Coast rust free frame with original paint, original interior, original soft top in excellent ready to show condition. This car is a magnet that will draw all the NCRS master judges to marvel over this time capsule. Original California smog car optioned with factory air, powerglide, power steering, power brakes, telescopic, speed warning, transistorized ignition, black vinyl auxiliary hardtop, posi, SS brakes, A.I.R. (Air Injector Reactor – California Smog), AM/FM radio, tinted glass, five Kelsey B.O. aluminum wheels, and red stripe radials. Most all factory correct components including the spare, jack, jack tools, clear floor mats, shocks, seat belts, washer system, smog system, shifter, shielding, braided wires, air cleaner, original drive train, original 735/736 exhaust, front LH mounted license plate support, Kelsey B.O. wheels, and T-3 headlights. Documented with the tank sticker/build sheet. The hardtop has not been off this car for at least 30 years. Unequivocally one of the nicest original Corvettes on the planet!! Looks, runs, and drives excellent.

In addition, this awesome ’67 is also a Bloomington Gold Survivor and Benchmark Award winner!

Documentation includes a very readable Tank Sticker!
