Will Chevrolet Announce a Z06 Carbon Edition?
Chevrolet may unveil a Z06 Carbon Edition. This special edition will take the Z06’s track-inspired DNA to the next level, featuring an array of lightweight carbon fiber components to reduce weight and improve handling.
The Carbon Series would offer a full carbon fiber aero package, including front splitter, rear wing, and side rockers, plus carbon fiber wheels that shave pounds off the car’s weight. These add to its aggressive look and improve downforce and handling on the track. The Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition visually blends luxury and performance, appealing to collectors and enthusiasts who favor a sporty, race-ready look and feel. |

The Corvette had always been my dream car since I was 10-12 years old. We bought our first Corvette soon after I graduated college. It was ordered on October 5, 1968 and delivered on February 1, 1969. It is an L36 coupe with the 4-speed transmission and has almost every option including side exhaust, but no power brakes. It is much easier to work on without the large vacuum tank in the way. It was my daily driver for many years. It currently has 199,000 miles. When we became empty nesters, my wife decided she needed one also. We ordered and purchased a 1998 C5 coupe. Then we ordered a 2003 50th Anniversary Edition coupe and took the Museum Delivery (which was an excellent experience) and sold the ’98. Next came the purchase of a 2016 convertible. The ’03 was sold to one of my daughters. All three of our children learned to drive in the ’69. Our oldest daughter and her husband have a ’76 coupe that belonged to his mother. The younger daughter and her husband have the ’03. My son and his wife have an ’02 coupe (which he ordered and purchased after he graduated college) and they just ordered and purchased a 2024 convertible for his wife. As you can see, the Corvette has played a large role in my family’s life.
