1,250 Horsepower Isn’t The Final Word!

1

In a recent interview with Top Gear, Corvette boss Tony Roma made it clear: the new ZR1X is “not the end of the story, it’s just the latest chapter.” The same engineering minds behind Cadillac’s Blackwing sedans are pushing the boundaries of what the C8 can do, and they’re just getting started.

The ZR1X already combines 1064 hp from its twin-turbo V8 with an additional 186 hp electric front motor, delivering all-wheel-drive grip and neck-snapping acceleration. Add in lightweight carbon fiber, 1200 lbs of downforce from its aero kit, and the Nürburgring in their sights.

But Roma hints more is coming, not just in horsepower, but in next-level weight savings and maybe even active aerodynamics to push performance even further.

Nancy M.’s  1975 Mercury Comet

This is a picture of my wife Nancy in her 1975 Mercury Comet. This is just like the one she bought new and regretted selling. I was able to find this low mileage car locally and gave it to her as a present on our 33rd wedding anniversary in 2019. She is the 4th owner. The car has an antenna but has never had a radio installed. The car is named “Geraldine” in honor of the wife of the couple that were the 1st owners!

Corvette Mike is honored to offer one of the most legendary and historically significant Corvettes ever built, the 1968 Le Mans Blue L88 Convertible, famously campaigned by James Garner’s American International Racing (AIR) team.

This is far more than just a Corvette. It’s a rare fusion of Hollywood prestige and motorsport heritage. One of only three factory-built L88 convertibles delivered in November 1967 for Garner’s AIR team, this remarkable machine was specially ordered through GM’s COPO program and is powered by the race-spec L88 engine with closed-chamber aluminum heads.

From the glamour of the silver screen to the grit of the racetrack, this Corvette embodies the fearless innovation and raw power that defined an era of American performance.

Opportunities like this don’t come around often.
Don’t miss your chance to own a documented icon of Corvette and racing history.

Some Random Thoughts

Sometimes I open the fridge, see nothing I want, and then realize I’m just staring at a cold, edible version of my own indecision.

I’m convinced that the little plastic tables they put in pizza boxes are just for tiny, imaginary pizza parties.

My cat just tried to bury her uneaten kibble in the carpet. I think she’s judging my housekeeping.
