All Electric Powered Corvette?

Mary Barra reinforced this, saying Chevrolet will be “guided by the consumer” on the Corvette’s future. While Chevy aims for an all-electric lineup by 2035, they won’t rush to compromise the Corvette’s spirit.

In the meantime, Chevy is preparing to unleash the hybrid Corvette Zora, expected as early as next year. With rumors of 1,200 horsepower, it could be the most powerful Corvette ever. While an all-electric version isn’t here yet, Chevy’s hybrid innovations show they’re still pushing the limits of performance.

They say Corvettes that reside in warm weather areas are the most sought after….combine that with low miles and a previous owner that owned the car for nearly 5 decades and you’ve got the makings of a desirable car!  I recently purchased a 1973 that was originally sold by Bob Hicks Chevrolet (no longer in business) in Ontario, CA, and later was acquired by the owner of Paso Robles Chevrolet on the Central coast, who kept the car in his private collection for 49 years.  I acquired this extremely original Corvette last year with only 52, 542 miles, which was ordered with almost every option available, including map light.  But the most amazing thing about this car is the Firestone spare tire, which has never been on the road or mounted on the car.  Amazingly, the red dot used for the initial balancing during the assembly process is still evident on the sidewall of the tire as well.  Currently, the Corvette still has under 53K miles, and drives better than most cars on the road today.
