The ’67 model year was the end of an era, as it was the last year for the 2nd generation Corvette. It’s considered by many (if not all) aficionados as the high-water mark in Corvette production. And the ’67 L71 Tri-Power big block was the top dog for street engines!

This particular car would certainly rank very high on the list of the most desirable ’67’s you could buy!

Starting with the color. Out of almost 23k cars built that year, only 815 were code #900 Tuxedo Black. Making it the rarest color offered. And to this day it’s the most desirable, as well. Adding tremendous value to an already seductive package.

This absolutely stunning SSR was special ordered by the late Bruce Patchett, former owner of Bruce Chevrolet in Hillsboro OR., for his personal collection. It was a tip of the hat to the SSR model of which he was a huge fan! This vehicle was ordered in his favorite color of Redline Red and had to have every single option available by Chevrolet, along with a few dealer-installed items.

The truck lived the late part of its life at Bruce’s vacation home in AZ. in a climate-controlled garage designated just for this vehicle! To say it was treasured would be an understatement!

Before the estate relinquished the SSR, it was treated to a complete once-over by the local Chevrolet dealer in Tuscon. At the inspection, there were a list of items that were attended to. They are as follows . . .

The biggest change for the ’00 model year was the redesign of the wheels.  The “wagon wheels” from ’97-’99 were replaced with a cleaner, thin spoke design that complemented the car perfectly!
