PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2017) — The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is celebrating a major milestone: the event’s total charitable giving to date has surpassed the $25 million mark. Total donations exceeded that figure after Pebble Beach Company CEO Bill Perocchi distributed $1.7 million from the 2017 Concours to local organizations at the event’s annual charity luncheon on Tuesday.

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will make its global debut this weekend. Not in the U.S., however, but at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show. Our insiders tell us that the weather is currently hot and humid there—good times.

We are fast approaching the holiday season and Corvette Mike’s annual Food Drive, Toy Drive and Car Shows.
Our Food Drive will be Saturday 11/18/17 and our Toy Drive will be held on Saturday 12/16/17. As always, we will have some very rare cars on display and be providing snacks and drinks. The car show is also available to anybody that wants to show off their special car, on a first come basis. Both events will start at 10:30am and end at 2:30pm. If you cannot make it, we can take tax deductible donations over the phone or email.

The Corvette plant has been shut down since late July but the Bowling Green Daily News reports the assembly plant is scheduled to reopen on November 6th. Even though the workers will start to return to the plant, they are not scheduled to start producing cars until later in the month, depending on training.
The 2018 Corvette will have a very short run this year, as on January 23rd, the plant will begin assembly of the 2019 [...]

You must feel sorry (not really) for the magazine, as picking and ranking cars is a no-win situation. People always say why didn’t they pick my car, how is that car better than this car, why is my car the only manual transmission car, or sure my car is not ranked higher than a car that costs 3 time as much, how is that fair!
With all the cars Motor Trend had to pick from, just being picked was a huge honor. Being #7 in this pack says a lot about the C7 Grand Sport. It does not
