Bright Red w/Black interior, 350/375hp, 6-spd manual transmission.
The ZR-1 was and is considered one of the high water marks in Corvette engineering and development. The car set a multitude of records on the track and on the street. Some of which still stand today! With its Twin-Cam V-8, it was truly an “exotic” Corvette in every sense of the word!. Even after being out of production for 15 years, the car is still advanced and a real “E” ticket ride for those of us brave enough to put it through its paces. During the cars production from ’90-’95, a certain amount of tweaking was done to the engine. The biggest change came in ’93 when the hp was increased from a very healthy 375 up to 405 with a stouter 4-bolt main block and some subtle, but effective hot rod tricks. There are many “rare and special” Corvettes out there. Some more so than others. But not only does that term apply to our featured car, we’ll go one step further and declare it 1 of 1!! When we first acquired this 1967 a number of years ago, it was basically an untouched original in beautiful condition. When we sold it to the previous owner, he appreciated its survivor status, but his intention was to drive it on a semi-regular basis. And he wanted some creature comforts. Such as, Vintage A/C, Power Brakes, Power Steering, a Hurst shifter for more precise shifting, an upgraded, but hidden audio system w/iPod adapter, red line radial tires wrapped around polished Bolt On wheels and in the interest of excellent noise pollution; a set of factory looking side exhaust! The paint was then nicely detailed and a new Black soft top was installed. What we now have is the perfect mid-year driver that you could take anywhere and enjoy every day, if desired. And why [...]
