Callaway Kind Of Announced a
Supercharger kit for the C8 Corvette
Callaway, a household name among Corvette enthusiasts for tuning and improving Corvettes, made two announcements at Corvettes at Carlisle last week. The first is a supercharger kit for the C8 Corvette. The second is a 35th-anniversary package celebrating their partnership with GM.
The supercharger kit won’t be sold as a standalone system but instead will be sold through authorized GM dealers on a turnkey basis. The actual installation will be at Callaway’s Connecticut or California facility and then shipped to the selling dealer.
Current C8 owners can also have their cars upgraded through the “Second Chance” program, but more details have yet to be released. Customers can reserve a serialized production slot with a $1,000 deposit at this time by contacting Callaway directly.
The Callaway supercharged C8 Corvette will come with a three-year/36,000-mile

A unique Duesenberg reprised its early role as Concours winner by taking the top prize at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
This year, 220 cars from 19 countries and 33 states pulled onto the competition field of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The car named Best of Show was the 1932 Duesenberg J Figoni Sports Torpedo of Lee R. Anderson Sr.
“This rare Duesenberg marries American might with European style,” said Concours Chairman Sandra Button. “It did well in some early rallies and concours. Then, its history took a turn, with chassis separated from body. The story of its resurrection is one of pure passion.”

The C8 Chevrolet Corvette cracked the domestic mid-engine sports car code when it was revealed in the summer of 2019. Sub-three-second zero to 60 runs and a V8 behind the driver typically meant six-figure price tags—but not anymore thanks to GM. Despite it being in a class of its own due to its roughly $60,000 starting price and performance specs, it’s caught the attention of automotive bigwigs such as Koenigsegg founder, Christian von Koenigsegg. In conversation with him at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, Koenigsegg told me how impressed he was with the ‘Vette’s value.
“What a bang for the buck,” said Koenigsegg. He explained he wasn’t just impressed by the C8’s price, but also joked about feeling relieved that his cars could “still outrun it.” Yeah, it would be awkward if they couldn’t. And if you think Koenigsegg wouldn’t be excited over something as low-dollar as America’s sports car, think again.
