So, you run a race school and need to break in 20 new 2019 C7 ZR1 Corvettes before you let your students use them. What are you going to do? Well, Ron Fellow had just this problem last year. The solution was easy, find at least 20 people to drive the cars from Detroit, MI to the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School in Pahrump, NV (approximately 2300 miles). The lucky drivers did the trip in 3 days and gave them the opportunity to break the brand-new ZR1s in before they hit the race track.
The Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain Motor Resort runs a school designed specifically for C7 Corvette owners. The classes teach basic dynamic car control, proper cornering techniques and other performance driving skills, and is one of the [...]
Well, there is a claim from a person named Chris Smith, that anybody with access to a Canadian dealership, can ask the dealership to pull up the C8 configuration tool via the GM workbench. So, a few people on the Corvette forum recently did just that, and were told there was no such configuration tool, but this did not keep the screen shoots, shot on a cell phone by user NBVette4U of CorvetteForum.com, from going viral. It is further stated that this tool was only issued to all Canadian GM dealers.
There are a few reasons to think these documents may not be real. First off, there are small formatting inconsistencies and typos throughout and look unprofessional, not something GM would allow out the door. Second, the colors are listed as “Rapid Blue,” “Zeus Bronze,” and “Black” and don’t sound like color names GM would use. Third, there is no mention of engine options, like [...]
If you own a Corvette, Camaro or Cadillac ATS or CTS, you may be one of the 26,772 owners getting a letter from GM letting you know that the power steering may stop working without notice.
At only 26,772 cars, this is a small recall, but it does effect some of the best performance cars GM has produced. The recall addresses a problem with their power steering system, and disables all power assist steering. If you are driving at speed, you still can drive just fine but it will require more effort than usual to steer. If you are parallel parking, or making a low speed turn, the steering will become very difficult.
Fixing the problem is not difficult, but will require replacing the Bosch supplied power-steering gear assembly, which dealers will begin performing later this month once the necessary components are available!

It has been some time since we have reported on new rumors of the C8 Corvette, as the news has been more of the same, C8’s sightings here and there, ever changing release dates and more camouflaged pictures.
Well there is some major news coming out of reliable sources that we found interesting.
First is the release date. The rumors are the production date has been pushed all the way to the end of this year.
Second is that the prototype, with a twin-turbocharged V8 is so powerful it is causing a “structural distortion of the aluminum spaceframe” during tests. There is a report that in one case the engine moved so much that the rear window was broken!
Third is that the C7 will cease production once the C8 enters production. This means that [...]
