The Robb Report just announced their Car of the Year for 2016 list. For those of you that don’t know about the Robb Report, they are marketed as “A Connoisseur’s Guide To The Finer Things In Life”. HEALING HEROES: Forty injured veterans took part this week in the Fifth Annual Las Vegas Mountain Bike Ride, an inspiring event where healing heroes cycle through Blue Diamond while raising awareness for Ride 2 Recovery, a physical and psychological rehabilitation and recovery program for veterans featuring cycling.
Mirage headliner Terry Fator, who supports numerous veterans charities, hosted the 40 riders at his show Wednesday and met with them afterward. R2R has a local program in Las Vegas called Project Hero where veterans can ride with a group on a weekly basis. The bicycles have been customized for the injured riders.

Former Jackson businessman Horace Slay has died at age 89.
If you’re not sure who he was, you are probably familiar with his business sign.
The life-long car dealer’s “Little Red Corvette” on top of a pole on South State Street has become a capital city landmark.
It has greeted motorists going in and out of downtown Jackson since the 1960’s.
