Estate Sale Planned For Corvette Legend Dick Guldstrand

For Corvette enthusiasts, the name Dick Guldstrand should be familiar. Guldstrand, or Mr. Corvette to his fans, was a legendary Corvette racing driver who passed away at the age of 88 last year.

However, if you’d like a chance to own a piece of his memorabilia or household items, Corvette Blogger reports an estate sale will be held this weekend, September 10 through September 11. This weekend will send off household items from his North Hollywood, California home. The following weekend will feature his Corvette memorabilia.

Guldstrand spent most of his life behind the wheel of blazingly fast Corvette racers. Between 1963 and 1965, Mr. Corvette secured three SCCA Pacific Coast Championships and was named California Sport Club Driver of the Year in 1964.

In 1966, Guldstrand won the GT class at the 24 Hours of Daytona and raced a 1967 L88 Corvette at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Bob Bondurant.

His achievements are nearly endless, peaking with his induction as one of the first National Corvette Museum Hall of Fame inductees in 1999.
