Germany Replaces Porsche 911 With GM’s Corvettes!
It seems that D-Day is happening all-over again as the US invades Germany despite the odds being stacked against them. We are talking about how the US automotive brands are turning into a popular choice in a ‘no man’s land’ like Germany.
It all started about year ago when Ford releases the all-new Mustang in a country that is dominated by huge names like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche and also Volkswagen. The Mustang went against the odds to become the country’s bestselling sports coupe.
Today, the Germany law enforcers made a shocking announcement as they revealed that they will be replacing the Porsche 911 with the Corvette to act as their high-speed patrol car.
The Corvette runs on a 6.2L V8 engine that is packed with 459hp and 464ft-lbs of torque, and this is about a hair behind what the 911 has to offer. So why is the 911 getting replaced by a Corvette?
Like it or not, we believe that the answer is with the Corvette’s looks. The menacing design of the Corvette will intimidate the law breakers on high-speed roads and the lighting effects applied to the car can enhance that feeling. It is either that or the Corvette is cheaper than the 911.
