C8 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition
Chevrolet may unveil a Z06 Carbon Edition. This special edition will take the Z06’s track-inspired DNA to the next level, featuring an array of lightweight carbon fiber components to reduce weight and improve handling.

The Carbon Series would offer a full carbon fiber aero package, including front splitter, rear wing, and side rockers, plus carbon fiber wheels that shave pounds off the car’s weight. These add to its aggressive look and improve downforce and handling on the track.

The Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition visually blends luxury and performance, appealing to collectors and enthusiasts who favor a sporty, race-ready look and feel.

ZR1 Top Speed

Chevrolet just dropped a full video of the 2025 Corvette ZR1 hitting an average of 233 MPH at the ATP track in Papenburg, Germany. Behind the wheel was GM President Mark Reuss, who credited the car’s engineering and preparation for the impressive run. Reuss kept the ZR1 in Sport Mode, pushing it to the 8,000 RPM redline in 6th gear.

The two-direction top-speed run clocked in at 233.08 MPH and 233.50 MPH, averaging 233 MPH. Chevrolet proudly claims it’s the fastest production car under $1 million, achieved with a standard ZR1—no special modifications, just the stock chassis, aero package, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

“Setting this record was a surreal experience,” Reuss said. “The mid-engine design made this possible, and it’s a true testament to the ZR1’s power and the incredible team behind it.”

Zora video NCM
As we look forward to the Chevrolet Corvette Zora, it’s important to honor its namesake, Zora Arkus-Duntov. Born in 1909 in Belgium to Russian parents, Zora became a pivotal figure in the development of America’s sports cars.

After studying engineering in Europe and working for various brands, Zora joined General Motors in 1953, right as the Corvette made its debut. Though he wasn’t part of its initial design, Zora was so captivated by the Corvette that he sent GM a memo with suggestions on how to improve it, leading to his hiring. Under his guidance, the Corvette evolved from a fledgling concept into a true performance icon.

Zora’s major contributions included introducing the V8 engine, enhancing the suspension, and adding a manual transmission—all of which greatly elevated the Corvette’s performance. His innovations made the Corvette not only faster and more powerful but also appealing to sports car [...]

All Electric Corvette
Will the Corvette go fully electric? Not yet, according to Corvette Chief Engineer Tony Roma and CEO Mary Barra. Chevy isn’t interested in electrifying the Corvette just to follow trends. As Roma told CBS News, “We don’t put technology on for technology’s sake.” Any move toward an electric Corvette would only happen if it truly enhances power, performance, and driving experience—or if customers demand it, which isn’t the case right now.

Mary Barra reinforced this, saying Chevrolet will be “guided by the consumer” on the Corvette’s future. While Chevy aims for an all-electric lineup by 2035, they won’t rush to compromise the Corvette’s spirit.

In the meantime, Chevy is preparing to unleash the hybrid Corvette Zora, expected as early as next year. With rumors of 1,200 horsepower, it could be the most powerful Corvette ever. While an all-electric version isn’t here yet, Chevy’s hybrid innovations show they’re [...]
