I have loved the Corvette since I first saw the 1963 split window. I got my first Corvette in 1977, it was a BRG 1976 L-48 4sp. Then in 1980 I won the Erie Corvette raffle, a 1980 yellow coupe. I decided that I didn’t need 2 Corvettes so I downsized to a Black 1979 fully loaded L-82. After putting 125k miles as my daily driver, I found a Red 1971 LS-5 454 as my weekend show Corvette. While sitting in a bank parking I was approached about selling my car. I passed on the information and forgot about the inquiry. In the following months I found a black 1967 L71 435hp coupe that needed a restoration. Then the guy who asked me about my 1971, called me back with the money. So I then went to the army veteran and convinced him to sell me his project Corvette. Within 9 months I put the car back on the road. I owned this 1967 for 25 years. When I first saw John Greenwood wide body race car in 1974, I loved the body style. So I sold the 1967 and bought a wide body Greenwood Style race Corvette that traced back to every prior owners. After several years racing I sold my race Corvette. A few years without a Corvette came to an end when I found a 1977 fully loaded L-82 John Greenwood Sebring GT which a had a ground up restoration. At the save time I found another 1967 project Corvette race car which I found the second owner in California who race it. So that is my story. Larry |
