Plant Tour Dates For 2025

The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky has announced more dates for tour availability this year for the GM Bowling Green assembly plant, where the venerable Chevy Corvette has been built since 1981. You can’t just show up at the front door if you want a tour; you must go through the NCM to get a full tour of the plant.According to the NCM website, the 2025 tours will be available for only the following two weeks:
Week of September 29th
Week of October 6thThere are also several stipulations that tourers need to agree to to sign up for a tour. Here are some of the rules:
Must be age 13 or older
Must book tickets online in advance – tickets aren’t available for purchase in person at the museum
Must have printed tickets in hand
Must wear close-toe, closed-heel shoes (no heels)
No bags, phones, cameras, or electronics, including smartwatches
Must be willing to arrive 30 minutes earlyThe tour guides you through the Corvette assembly process from start to finish. The National Corvette Museum acts as the public-facing ticket provider for organized plant tours; it’s the only way the general public can tour the plant. The NCM warns ticket buyers that production may not actually be taking place while you’re there, but the tour will commence, regardless. Sorry, no refunds.Production is underway for the 2026 Chevy Corvette, which debuts a redesigned interior and the stunning new ZR1X hybrid hypercar variant. The start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 Corvette began on August 4th, 2025.

Willy’s ’69 Olds Ninety-Eight Town SedanDestination MoonIt was 1969 and I was a kid who devoured all the magazines which showed wheels in their covers, pictures and contents. I was a fan of the 69’s cars, and I am still that guy. Two of those cars that were my very favorites, were the Cadillac Fleetwood and the Oldsmobile Town Sedan. But there was also another story going on at the same time, that was killing me of anxiety; the man was about to reach the moon, and I used to desperately look for news and information about the trip with the shortwave radio that belonged to my father. And finally, the Eagle landed on the moon, and I saw Armstrong coming out of the module, and nothing was the same ever since that 20th July of 1969. That’s the date which brings back the most beautiful memories of my childhood.Time passed and also many cars and bikes, came in and came out of my life. But suddenly, I came up with another date that I will never forget; 11/11/2011. That day, I travelled with my father to buy a ’69 Olds Ninety-Eight Town Sedan, and we did the trip back (438 miles) driving it to our home, safe and sound. I was Armstrong during those 438 miles. I had my own “Destination Moon”. And it is until today, that I still enjoy this car, with its characteristic 455 Rocket.Willy.Mike @ NCRS Nationals
