A Pennsylvania man had this 1974 Corvette airbrushed into a driving Star Wars poster in the late ’70s — and now it’s available on eBay to the highest bidder.
According to the auction, the man — who has since passed away and is not the seller — spent over 1,000 hours on the car.

The Chevrolet Corvette beat the Porsche 911 as the most satisfying car in its category in a survey of new car owners released Wednesday.
The 911 took this category last year. The last time the Corvette has topped its category was 10 years ago.

More than 84,000 people who bought a new car within the past 90 days were asked dozens of questions about various aspects of their vehicles in J.D. Power’s latest APEAL study.
Fuel economy, acceleration and audio system quality were among the characteristics that vaulted the Corvette to the top spot.
“Interestingly, storage was also an advantage vs. the competition in this segment — with owners citing more trunk space,” J.D. Power said.

DETROIT (Bloomberg) — A simulated city opened Monday on the north campus of the University of Michigan to test how self-driving cars will travel in the future without mowing down pedestrians or causing colossal crashes.
“We had the faculty here at the university design the fully evolved future,” Peter Sweatman, head of the Transportation Research Institute, which oversaw the creation of the M City test facility, said in an interview. “After all, we’re replacing humans with machines and those machines need to be able to operate in a full, rich environment.”
