In automotive racing, crashes are inevitable. Whether they happen right at the beginning of a long race or near the end, the results can be devastating to a driver’s race position. Recently, two Corvettes met this unfortunate fate at the Northeast Grand Prix ALMS race at Lime Rock. Although the drivers weren’t hurt, the crash crippled their cars and caused them to drop down in standings.

As announced on Corvette Blogger, the two Corvettes, numbers 3 and 4, were involved in a nasty crash just 20 minutes into the 2 hour and 45 minute long race. After contact between an Extreme Speed Ferrari and an LMPC prototype occurred in front of them, the two Corvettes and the Number 55 BMW slammed into one another, getting tangled together. The crash caused damage to the front of both [...]

Bluetooth may be annoying and result in difficulties for both parties to hear and understand what is being said, but it beats a car crash… Plenty of states have banned using a cellphone without a hands-free device, but many drivers in these states continue to ignore the law. Corvette Blogger reported a recent incident in El Cajon, California, just a few miles east of San Diego, where a C6 Corvette lodged itself underneath a Dodge Neon. In this case, witnesses claimed that driver of the white C6 was talking on the cellphone and failed to notice the taupe colored Neon in front of it. One passerby snapped a picture of the calamity and sent it to the local NBC station in San Diego. Kristi Dubin stated that she took the picture to show to her children as lesson about driving too fast and talking on the phone. When [...]
