Hot Rod builder Norm Grabowski came home to see “Lightnin’ Bug,” his 1955 T-bucket hot rod sitting safely in the driveway, yet was alarmed to see a pair of feet sticking out from under it.

Celebrating the First 100 Years of ZagatoThe 2019 Pebble Beach Concours will Showcase the Innovative Style that Makes Zagato an Icon
One hundred years back, in 1919, Ugo Zagato founded the coachbuilding company that continues to this day in his name — Carrozzeria Zagato.
It also continues to be owned and operated by the Zagato family, and is thriving, making it unique among the many coachbuilders that began in the creative Classic Era between the two great world wars.
“The fact that Zagato remains Zagato is very special,” said Concours Chairman Sandra Button. “We want to honor that accomplishment, highlighting many of Zagato’s greatest creations for the collector car world to celebrate.”
The legacy of Zagato — its early technical creations, its iconic postwar designs and its ongoing presence — will all be celebrated at the coming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
