Silver Beige w/Silver Beige interior, 350/200hp, 4-spd. automatic transmission.
After 14 years of production, the longest of any generation Corvette before or since, the C3 finally had it’s swan song in ’82. The Shark had gone through many changes in almost almost a decade and a half. Starting out as an all-out sports/performance car and ending as more of a GT, the third generation certainly had a loyal fan base, and deservedly so!
To give the Shark a proper send off, a special Collector Edition was introduced. The model featured Silver Beige exterior Paint with Brown hood and side stripes, Collector Edition emblems, exclusive finned aluminum wheels and tri-color Silver Beige interior. But, what also made this Corvette special, was the opening rear hatch! This feature was only available on the C.E. and it was the only C3 Corvette model ever offered with an opening rear hatch! Another feature new for ’82 was the introduction of a 4-spd. automatic transmission!
We got this ’82 C.E. from the nephew of the original owner. It’s been in the same family since new and the odometer shows only 22k miles! The car is in nice condition with some scrapes and scuffs on the front bumper and fading on the hood stripe, which is common. It runs and drives well, but the a-c does not blow cold.
