Making a C3 Corvette go fast isn’t a tough thing to do.

Making a C3 Corvette run the quarter-mile in 7.5 seconds with a trap speed over 170 mph, on the other hand, takes quite a bit of skill. That’s what Polish company VTG undoubtedly has because its third-generation Corvette is making prodigious power and lightning fast passes down the strip.

When you hear of ultra-high mile daily driver’s, names like Toyota, Honda and Volvo, are usually the first that you’d think of as bulletproof transportation over the long haul.  Corvette, on the other hand isn’t a car that would immediately come to mind for that purpose.  Not that Corvettes aren’t an excellent and exciting mode of daily transport.  They definitely are!  It’s just that Corvette owners tend to drive their cars shorter distances or for fun weekend get-a-ways.

However, there are exceptions to that rule!  And the car presented here is a perfect example of that.  We think this ’90 Red Corvette Coupe deserves recognition as possibly one of the highest mile Corvettes still on the road!  Who says a Corvette isn’t a reliable daily driver? Well Gordon Fong surely doesn’t!  He’s the owner of this very special Bright Red Coupe.  He purchased it almost new

The rumor mill is alive and active, and if it is correct, it is looking like the 2019 model year for Corvette will be very interesting.

We are hearing that the C7 ZR1 will be official soon and may be a 2018 model, while the C8 Mid-Engine Corvette may be introduced in Mid January 2018 at the Detroit Auto Show, as a 2019 model.

The really surprising part of the rumors are the prices: C7 ZR1 may start from $105,000, while the C8 might offer a base price as low as $65,000 or as high as $95,000. Remember, these prices are only rumors, and the real prices will only be known when GM announces the new Vettes.
