It was in 2013 that Chevrolet tuner extraordinaire Callaway first previewed the design of a shooting brake based on the C7 Corvette. Since then, the company has been gauging market interest and further developing the design.

On Friday, Callaway finally unveiled its Corvette shooting brake and confirmed the vehicle’s debut at the 2017 Michelin NCM Bash, the annual get-together at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky which this year will run April 27-29.

Called the C21 AeroWagen, the conversion is only available for the Corvette’s coupe body style and can be reversed should the owner desire. Carbon fiber is used for the panels while the rear piece is tempered safety glass that retains a defogger.

The good news is that the design doesn’t impinge on the car’s removable roof panel. In fact, it uses the original hardware and latching mechanisms. The downside is that since no structural changes [...]

The Corvette and the Mustang are always battling it out for who is better, but there is a big part of the world that does not get to experience this, the Right-Hand Drive side of the world. Well there is a rumor that GM is about to fix this issue when they roll out the 2018 ZR1. Yes, that is right, there may finally be a factory Right-Hand Drive Vette!

GM knows that the Mustangs sales numbers are enhanced by the fact that they can sell the world over and want a piece of this pie.  One of the stumbling blocks has been something as simple, but meaningful, as the Corvette Logo! That is right, the Australian government has said it looks too much like the Red Cross flag, which according to the Geneva Conventions Act of 1957, could only be used during times of conflict in order to indicate that the people or vehicle [...]

The mid-engined Corvette has been rumored for at least 40 years. And even though there have been prototypes and concepts, there has never been the real thing.

That’s all about to change.

What you’re looking at is a prototype for the mid-engined C8 Corvette testing alongside a couple of Corvette ZR1 prototypes in the snow, a place that none of these will ever be driven.

What can we tell? Well, it’s obviously mid-engined. Look at that rear deck and short front end. There’s something kind of Huayra-ish about the shape of it, particularly the front end, though that may have more to do with the camo than the actual design of the car.

It still actually looks rather Corvette-ish, even with that camo. There’s something about the roofline and the windshield that scream Corvette. The bluntness of the front end is a little surprising, as [...]

2016 is over and collector car values have increased by 4.3 percent, according to the Cars On Line 2016 Market Trends Report. The report statistics are taken from auction company results and private sales recorded for 2015 vs 2016. The report shows Chevrolet cars are up 5 percent this year, beating the average.

In Scottsdale last week, preliminary sales show an increase of 3 percent in total sales from $251.8 million in 2016 to $259.4 million this year.

According to Hagerty, a 1967 427/435 4-Speed, has gone from about $163,000 in January of 2015 to $170,000 in January of 2017. This is for a #2 condition with no options. Time to buy, as prices are continuing to climb.

According to Corvette Mike “it was a typical crazy year in the desert of AZ.” and at the Barrett-Jackson auction “over 1700 cars crossed the block over a weeks period of time with a 99% sell-through rate.” [...]
