1962 Tuxedo Black Corvette Convertible
Very sharp, frame-off restoration!Tuxedo Black with Black interior, 327/300hp, Powerglide automatic transmission.
The ’62 is the last, and to many, the best of the first-generation Corvettes. This was a milestone year, not only because it was the last for the Solid Axles, but it was also the first to feature the legendary 327ci small block engine. Visually, the ’62 is easy to identify from the ’61, due to its lack of color contrasting coves. Instead, a ribbed rocker molding was put on the bottom of the doors. On the inside, the interior was slightly roomier than previous years.
The ’62 featured here has undergone a frame-off restoration a number of years ago but still looks great! It also happens to be an excellent driver. Front disc brakes, with a dual master cylinder, and power steering were added by the previous owner to make it an even better driving experience. The matching #’s 327/300hp engine and Powerglide transmission make it an easy car to drive anywhere.
It’s optioned with both hard and soft tops, as well!
