LeMans Blue w/Black interior, L71 427/43hp, 4-spd. manual transmission.
The term “barn find” has been used and abused for decades, And its meaning has been tweaked a bit in the process. With cars seemingly popping up on a regular basis, you would think there’s an unlimited supply everywhere! Well, the truth is, real “barn finds” or “garage finds” are few and far between. But, we think the car presented here is about as good of an example as you will find.
This LeMans Blue L71 427/435hp Convertible was discovered by Corvette Mike as part of a multiple buy he made recently. It’s been parked since the ’70’s and although not currently in running condition, it is all there and complete. And the drivetrain is correct and #’s matching; including the engine, transmission (M21) and rear end (3.70 Posi). It’s plenty dusty, but considering how long it’s been sitting, it’s not too bad cosmetically. This is the perfect project for someone who wants to get it running and roadworthy to just blast around town in or take it down to its bare chassis and do an N.C.R.S. Top Flight caliber restoration! Either way, a ’69 L71 is a plenty desirable Corvette no matter how you look at it!
