Black w/Saddle interior, 350/230hp, 4+3 manual transmission.
The big news for ’86 was the return of the Convertible after an 11-year hiatus! And to celebrate this event, Corvette was once again chosen to be the Official Pace Car for the Indy 500!
There were many improvements to the ’86, as well. Anti-lock brakes became standard equipment, the dash was revised for better visibility, a new head design was introduced just in time for Convertible production, a new anti-theft system incorporating a chip in the ignition key and a high-mounted stop light made its first appearance in ’86.
It’s a rare occasion that we come across an early C4 with milage as long as this example. And with only 16k reading on the odometer, it’s hardly broken in yet! This one also happens to feature a manual transmission, which is also a rare (and getting rarer) sight. It’s believed that it’s had only two owners since new! The car is in excellent shape and is optioned with leather seats with the driver’s side being power adjustable, Delco/Bose audio system, and it even has the correct Goodyear VR50 radial tires!
