Bright Red w/Red interior, LT5 350/375hp, Twin Cam V8, 6-speed manual transmission.
When the ZR-1 Corvette was introduced as a ’90 model, the buzz from the automotive press and buying public was deafening! Nothing like it had ever been produced before (or since) in an American Sports Car! The Twin Cam, 32 valve V8 was produced by Chevrolet in conjunction with Lotus and built by Mercury Marine in Stillwater, OK. The engine produced 375hp and had the kind of performance that could compete with just about every exotic of the period. The ZR-1 set records on racetracks across the world. Some of which still stand today!
All ZR-1’s had unique body work that was three inches wider in the rear to accommodate the largest tire every mounted to a Corvette! Which were 315/35 ZR-17’s!
This beautiful example has only managed to rack up 7k miles since it was purchased new form Ray Dennison Chevrolet in Pekin, IL. It’s been in collector hands and well cared for its entire life and still retains its original “solar” windshield.
ZR-1’s all came loaded with just about every option from the factory. The only two items not included as standard equipment were electronic climate control, and both painted and clear roof panels, both of which this particular has.
It comes with all books, manuals, spare keys, and the very coveted and hard to come by “Pizza Box”.
