Sebring Silver w/Red interior, 346/345hp, 6-spd. manual transaxle.
With the exception of the re-introduction of the Convertible to the Corvette line-up, there was only slight changes from the previous year. Some noise reduction under the hood, mods to the transmission cooler and a revision of the F45 Real Time Damping suspension were most of the changes.
When the C5 was introduced, the manual 6-spd. transaxle was an extra cost option, and the 4-spd automatic was standard. Most were ordered as automatics making the manual cars only a bit over 1/5th of total production. This local So. CA ’98 is one of those cars. It’s in excellent shape throughout and equipped with very desirable options. In additional to the transaxle, the car also has the F45 adjustable suspension, fog lamps, Delco/Bose audio system w/CD, ungraded late C5 polished aluminum wheels, Lemans style headlights and K & N air filter.
