When the original Ford GT was introduced in the mid-’60’s, it was more or less a pure race car. And although you could purchase a “street” version, the car was always intended to be born and bred for the track! And on the track was where the GT did its best work! It won LeMans no less then 4 times. In a row! That’s where its legend was firmly cemented! When production stopped in the late ’60’s, no one could have ever imagined that 40 years later, the legend would be re-born in the form of an all-new Ford GT! But this time, the beast was (barely) tamed for the street! And the steering wheel was located to the left.

The new GT was equipped with a 5.4L supercharged V8, which produced 550hp! And was backed up by a 6-spd. manual transaxle. The car was very faithful to the original, but with modern conveniences, such as air conditioning, air bags, and power everything. However, once you slipped behind the wheel, you were immediately transported back in time to the original cars’ racing heyday! And it wouldn’t be difficult to picture yourself screaming down the Mulsanne Straight!

The example presented here was purchased new in central CA. It’s original owner lovingly and meticulously cared for it since that time.

The car has 5,300 carefully driven miles and features all four options.
