Malachite Green Metallic w/Natural interior, 3.8L flat 6 cyl/385hp, PDK automatic transaxle.
The ’09’s featured a body revision and was referred to as a “next gen”. But, as per Porsche, the changes were very slight.
The front end looked slightly more Boxster-like, with a thin glass strip above the air inlet. It housed LED daytime running lights—which could be switched off—and traditional turn signals. Engineers wanted LED turn signals as well, like those on the 911 Turbo, but there was not enough room for the complete unit above the daytime-running lights. The rear lights had a slightly more complex shape than before and were fully LED, including the turn signals.
Mirrors were bigger to comply with the then upcoming European regulations. The Carrera had two large exhaust pipes; the more powerful Carrera S got four smaller, circular units.
When we were presented with the opportunity to acquire this 911, we jumped on it! We dig Porsches here at Corvette Mike! But, with the many Porsches, as well as Corvettes that we’ve sold over the decades they can start to look alike. So, we’re always looking for something that will separate one from another. We think this Carrera S fits the bill. The Malachite Green Metallic exterior complemented by the Natural interior is simply stunning! It’s a color combo you just don’t see on a regular basis, but it really sets it apart. And in a good way! Add to it the fact that this 2-owner car has been beautifully maintained (recently serviced) and has only managed to clock 24k miles since new and you’ve got the best combination of cosmetic and mechanical Porsche excellence!
