Supersonic Blue w/Ebony/Titanium interior, 376/638hp, 6-spd. manual transaxle.
Introduced in ’09, the infamous “Blue Devil” was finally realized as the new ZR-1. And with a 638hp Supercharged V8, it was the most powerful car ever produced by GM up to that point. The LS9 engine incorporated a 10.5-quart dry sump oil lubricating system and a positive displacement Roots-type supercharger with a four-lobe rotor design to obtain boost. The ZR-1’s utilized a twin-disc clutch and a stronger 6-spd. manual transmission to handle all the torque!
The chassis was aluminum like the ZO6 but used a specially tuned Selective Magnetic Ride Control. Stopping power was provided by massive Brembo brakes. The rotors were vented and drilled carbon-fiber-reinforced ceramic silicon carbide units.
Of all the colors offered in ’11, we think Supersonic Blue is the most striking and fitting color for the ZR-1. This awesome example came out of a private collection and is in showroom condition with only 838 miles showing on the odometer! It’s loaded with options including;
