The debut of the Pratt Miller Motorsports Corvette Z06 GT3R promises an impressive start, securing a spot within the top 10 in the highly competitive GT field for the IMSA Racing Weather Tech Sports Car Championship’s Rolex 24 At Daytona on Saturday.
During the Roar Before the 24 weekend, Antonio Garcia led the Corvette Racing effort for Pratt Millers in the No. 3, setting a noteworthy lap of 1:44.786 in the Corvette Z06 GT3.R during a red-flag-interrupted qualifying session. Teammate Tommy Milner in the No. 4 closely followed with a time of 1:45.215. The intensity of the class was evident as the first 10 GTDPRO cars were within a second in qualifying, showcasing the depth of competition.

In 2023, the Corvette had quite the remarkable year. As per the National Corvette Museum, the Detroit-based automaker rolled out an impressive 53,785 units of this iconic model, coming incredibly close to breaking the all-time production record. The 1979 C3 still holds the top spot with 53,807 units assembled.
Out of the 53,785 2023 C8’s produced, 47,372 were the base C8, while the Z06 contributed 6,413 to this year’s production count. Interestingly, Chevrolet outdid itself by producing more Corvettes than Camaros in 2023!
